Senior Manager/Supervisor
A Rochester Hills, MI landscape design and build company is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee all aspects of hardscape and softscape practices. This role will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and crews to ensure successful project execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both hardscaping and softscape construction, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality landscaping projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and oversee landscape construction projects, including hardscape (footings, masonry, pavers, brickwork, retaining walls, patios) and softscape (elevation work, grading, drainage, and water management)
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work
  • Manage on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and on-time completion
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and permit requirements
  • Coordinate material procurement and delivery
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design plans
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, designers, and stakeholders
  • Provide accurate project reporting and updates to senior management

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in landscape construction, including hardscape and softscape projects
  • Strong knowledge of hardscape practices (masonry, pavers, retaining walls, footings)
  • Deep understanding of softscape techniques (grading, land movement, drainage, and water management)
  • Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., BuilderTrend, Procore, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans
  • Experience in creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and scopes
  • Familiarity with local codes, permits, and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or similar--preferred
  • OSHA 30-hour certification—preferred
  • ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) certification—preferred
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Certification—preferred
  • Experience with site surveying and resource allocation—preferred
